Sailing to prison to hear God's call

Jon Hartwick had a prayer in prison after he was saved by Jesus. It went something like this... "God get me out of here, please give me a Christian wife, I want to get out of here and tell everyone about you." Jon attended Campus Life in his high school years and remembered hearing about Jesus and being loved by staff and volunteers and wanted to work with Campus Life, hoping to make a difference for Jesus in the lives of the kids he meets. God answered his prayers. Jon has four children and a bride that loves Jesus. Jon also has had the chance to be like Jesus to people that do not know Jesus. The man that helped Jon connect to Campus Life was George, just "a guy" who "just so happened to be a leader" in Campus Life when Jon attended Campus Life. God has everything planned and working how He wants, and God is very good. He also loves baseball, primarily Little League and the Detroit Tigers (even when The Tigers play like little leaguers.) Jon's love language is sarcasm. Feel free to give him a call he would LOVE to tell you more about Great Lakes Bay YFC and what we do!

  • Jon loves his wife and Tigers baseball

  • Jon might be the executive director but he loves to volunteer with the kids. He was trying on a fancy hat at Cedar Point in this picture!
